Cya over there...............
Today was one tiring day also. Why? Maybe because I slept at 1am last night.. Morning.. whatever...
So here we are at the 2007 SAFRA Biathlon (finally did I get the spelling right?) Where the weather is fine, for running (bad for photography) And.......... We have quite a few nice shots! Weee~~ HooRAY!

So here is the first wave running in.... See the photographers? We form a community! And they had a picture of me in clubsnap.. Lucky no face. phew~~ I hate to be famous. XD No hard feelings, the celebrities that I made..

And our participant begins their 1.5km swim, followed by a 10km run...

Okay.. at this point is the swim exit point. People run out into that pool of water to wash off the sand.. effective I guess not by the end of the first wave. Then they rinse themselves. I must say............... Participants ought to SECURE their dressing.. Too much wardrobe malfunctions for the day.. -__-"
Maybe to share something comical.. There was this two girls next to me who sounds like some ardent fan of biathlon athelets or something.. They kept cheering and everything.. then this lady came out, wardrobe failed her, and immediately there was a period of silence.. other than the *click* *click* from my camera.. *sound of crow flying by..* then everything resume as it was...
Anyway... Moving on....... Buckets filled with water are there for participants to rinse themselves off the salt water... and maybe sand....?

After which particpants rushed over to change, and wear shoes, yes they must wear shoe... or they get disqualified.. saftey issue I guess....
And then it is the 10km run..... here are some shots near the finishing line...

Anyway.. someone was saying I should take part in this.. lets say if I didn't manage to drown in the first 1.5km, some how manage to overcome my disgusted feeling of wearing shoes with sand, run that 10km and survive in one piece... who will be there to take photos? Don't answer that.
So after the whole thing I was like dead tired, so I didn't head over to the mini motor-cross. And went home to sleeeeep.... and I'm still sleepy now. *Yawnz*

Went over to Turf Club (Kranji) on Friday. Of course I'm no avid punter, or even horse racing enthusiast, and no I don't own no horse neither do I ride one. I'm there to take photos which I will now present to you...

So anyway, here is what it is like in the Turf Club. The basic process of betting in a horse race is to first check out the horses. Duh! But of course you can just leave it to the commentators to talk about the horse and jockey stats. Though I don't get a single thing they are talking about. Not interested too.
So basically as you can see from the photo below, they tour the horse around, this parade ring where you get to see the horses and decide for yourself its potential in the upcoming race.

Then you would see the punters all take out note book, punter's guide whatever treasure they can find and make notes and notes and decide what to bet.

So after they walk around the ring, the Jockeys would mount and follow the escorts out of the ring and to the race track. While doing so, punters would also study the horse and jockey teams again. After which, they would place their bets.

All veterans out there would probably heard of the infamous ladder gang. Well the ladder gang, meet the professional ladder gang! This lady is standing on a ladder. It gives a better composition of the jockeys at the same time you won't have a 1 meter tall railing blocking your view.

And when you spot those horses coming in like this....

The Crowd goes wild~~ Okay.. so maybe they just cheer a lot.

But of course, the Turf Club isn't a place where I want to be. For one, it being notorious as a gambling hot spot. Next, we have smokers..... I can still remember going home dead tired and smelling like cigarettes. Yeeewww..

Then there is the thing about the horses. They are soooo poor thing. Maybe what I see is not really manhandling of horses. But the stories of this horses are sad to hear. Or at least thats what I percieved to be.. if they ever get maimed they are put to sleep.. and imagine being WHIPPED everyday (or at least during race days).. Perhaps human empathy doesn't apply to animals very well, but I just pity the poor horses.

Imagine getting your ears pulled... sigh~
Anyway... Friday was one tiring day. I went over to NTU for medical check up and yay no road signs~! Have to consult the map. >_<" And when I finally reach, I saw a sign "To Medical Centre" YAYYYY... only to find that the sign needs a bit of inference... otherwise it would lead you to nowhere.
Same thing happen when I tried to walk to NIE, the sign says to North Spine (Level 1)... Apparently what I thought was level 1 became B3. No wonder I walked into a wall.
Getting out of NTU, I went over to Jurong Medical Centre, now NTU got to update those maps, the bus interchange was relocated. So a bit of quick thinking I avoided getting lost AGAIN.
X-ray was okay... Though I think I killed some lungs cells and get myself prone to cancer, (not knowing that later I would become even MORE prone to cancer) then off it goes to deliever the mangas and DVDs.. CCK and AMK so far~~~
Went AMK to eat Roast Duck Noodle... Wanted to see filter but thought.. not really useful as of yet.. So WAIT... Until got income source then maybe.. hehehee...
Reached home. Dead tired. Want to collapse on bed. Then I was like.. to go or not to go to Turf Club.... Looking at my poor Xanga.. I thought.. need some material so off I went (See? I suffered for all my loyal readers... now SWEAR YOUR LOYALTY Bwahhahaha) But... first to Photography Society Singapore at Selegi Art Centre.
Then I head over to Newton to wait for Suihaimi. And off we went to take photos... until 10pm!!! Reach home settle down it was 12am then had to wait for my spare batt to charge finish to charge my main batt. And only to sleep at 1am. *Faints*

Um.... Some announcement for the day...
I've moved my blog (web log, online journal, LJ, what-ever-you-call-it) to this ad http://www.xanga.com/max86
Currently it is still undergoing construction but, because Xanga doesn't have the function of backdating (which is strange) so I've decided to keep this site going, only to serve as a gallery for my photos (because the darn flickr only allows for 200 photos, inclusive private and public, to be displayed at one time for FREE accounts)
So..........
Reasons for moving over...
- LJ doesn't allow CBox or Tagboard, cause for some reason, it doesn't support Javascripts, or some html codes which Cbox and Tagboard sooooo requires.
- Xanga seems cool. More skins available, and I think you can do customising to include pictures.. rather than the plain and boring stuff you see here
- I REALLY WANT THAT CBOX.
To conclude this site would be STRICTLY business. And would be running until Xanga supports backdating, of which I will have to copy ALL the entries till date.. that is like uh.. A LOT!! XD (Though I don't remember registering zZ *~`+<※S0uL C@+cheR※>+'~* Zz as a company name or even zZ *~`+<-JouRnaL of A PaRanOiD wAndEreR->+'~* Zz to be a front. And also I do not have business in photography. No income so far XD. I'm more of a leisure photographer anyway........)
Anyway........ I really can't bear to leave my LJ in ruins.. Its been with me for sooooo many years.. uh.. like since JC2.. that makes it uh.. 3 years?
It feels even more unbearable than the last time when I left blogcity.
Should have chose Xanga in the first place.. =\
Hope this is the last time I move blogs...
